Verification

Claims move up a five-rung ladder, on evidence.

A listing starts Unverified. Sellers submit evidence — ownership, live metrics, standing — and TrafficNodes moves it up the ladder as that evidence is confirmed. The level a listing has reached is shown plainly, and it directly caps how high its Node Score can go.

Verification ladder

  1. UnverifiedCurrent

Listing exists. Nothing has been checked.

  2. Self-reported

The seller has attested to the figures. No evidence attached.

  3. Data-connected

Evidence is attached (exports, screenshots) but not independently confirmed.

  4. TrafficNodes Verified

Ownership proven and key metrics confirmed via read-only access or direct platform checks.

  5. Audited

Full review: traffic sampling, revenue reconciliation and account-standing checks.

Unverified

Score ceiling 58

Nothing on this listing has been checked by TrafficNodes. Any figures are the seller's claims alone. The listing may be published, but treat every number as unconfirmed.

What's required at this level

  • Listing metadata and passport structure are valid.

What remains unverified

  • Ownership is not yet proven.
  • No independently confirmed metrics evidence.
  • No full audit — traffic sampling and revenue reconciliation not done.
  • Seller-provided claims may still be present, unreconciled.

Evidence, not a checkbox

Verified doesn't mean a seller ticked a box. Each rung requires specific, checkable evidence — ownership proof (DNS records, platform account access, read-only connections), metrics confirmation (analytics exports, live reads), and for the top two rungs, a review of account standing and dependency risk.

No guarantee, no exception

Even Audited — the highest rung — means TrafficNodes completed a real review of the evidence available at that point in time, not a guarantee the asset will keep performing after transfer. Verification level is a statement about evidence quality, never a safety promise.

It moves the Score, publicly

A listing's verification level is shown plainly on its Passport and directly sets that listing's Node Score ceiling (see the Node Score page) — a buyer never has to infer trust from a badge alone; the number reflects it.

Capabilities

  • Unverified → Self-reported → Data-connected → TrafficNodes Verified → Audited
  • Ownership checks (DNS, platform records, read-only access) before anything else
  • Metrics confirmed against analytics exports and live reads, not taken on the seller's word
  • Account health, policy history and dependency risk reviewed for the top two rungs
