Proxies & IP Infrastructure

Choose by proxy type first, then by how you will use it: protocol, rotation, allocation and IP version are separate properties, so a mobile proxy can be SOCKS5, rotating and dedicated at once. Every listing's Node Passport discloses how IPs are sourced, where they are located and what the replacement terms are, and the Node Score caps any self-reported uptime or pool figures that have not been verified.

Buyer guide

  • Match the proxy type to the task: residential and mobile IPs for geo-accurate consumer views, datacenter IPs for speed and volume.
  • Ask how residential and mobile IPs are sourced and whether end users consented to share their connection.
  • Check pool size, country and city targeting against the geos you actually run.
  • Confirm sticky-session length, rotation triggers and the replacement policy for blocked or dead IPs.
  • Read the seller's acceptable-use policy; reputable providers restrict abusive targets and log accordingly.

FAQ

How do I choose between residential, mobile, ISP and datacenter proxies?

Start from the target: consumer-facing sites that vary by location favor residential or mobile IPs, long-lived sessions favor ISP proxies, and high-volume requests to tolerant endpoints favor datacenter IPs. Protocol, rotation and allocation are then chosen separately.

What does the Node Passport disclose for a proxy listing?

It records the proxy type, IP sourcing, protocols, rotation options, allocation, locations, bandwidth terms and the replacement policy. Unverified figures such as pool size or uptime are marked as self-reported and capped in the Node Score.

What uses do proxy sellers on TrafficNodes allow?

Listings are for legitimate work such as ad verification, geo testing, localized QA, price monitoring and authorized data collection. Each seller's acceptable-use terms and the target platforms' own terms still apply.
